For this assignment I used a photo 

from a past photo-shoot, felt that 

the mood really fit the quote, 

"If you have only in you 

give it to the people you love" 

-Maya Angelou.

This quote in one of her most 

popular quotes and I really 

wanted the picture to give the 

feeling of the quote.

Final

For this assignment I really wanted to play around with all the photoshop skills that I learned during this school year, using layers and brushes and playing around with the contrast and levels, etc.
I started out by fixing the background and then, whitening her teeth and softening her skin, later I played around with the color. I changed the colors of her clothing and used brushes in order to add more color and life to the picture.
I really like the happiness of this picture, it has a very cheerful feeling to it and she has a very big smile on her face.
At the end after all the editing I was stuck at a point where I didnt know which final version I liked best and so ended up posting them both.
The black and white one really has a contrast and catches the eye much more. However at the same time the colors purposefully match ...

Elements of Design

 

 Since the pictures I took to present "lines, space, texture..." were very simple I had to find a way to add a little life to the image, so Ms. Miles suggested to play around with fonts and sizes.

I have to admit that it was a bit hard at first since I didn't really know where I was going with the writing and how I was going to add a more interesting view to the picture. I think this picture is a tremendous improvement from the original version which seemed a bit dull, however it felt very immature putting up crazy fonts that took away from the image itself, so i had to play around with it until I found a way that I liked.

Extra credit

This image is basically a photoshop practice. i used a photo of me, taken using photo booth and edited it. adding a layer with a design that matched my mood, and using the soft focus lens effect on the original image of me.

This is a very basic photoshop project, and i used it as a way to get more familiar with photoshop.
